Talk of the Stall

We have reopened, please enjoy our updated site, and Thank you for your patience.

I hope you have a pleasant and enjoyable casual experience while visiting, boarding, or training here.  We are a private barn to ensure that each and every horse that lives here gets the best personal care available.  At the same time, ensure that their owners have the ability to get away from the every day hustle and worries that bring us down every day.

In order to acheive this and make sure every horse has a custom life that is healthy for both mind and body, we request that everyone who keeps their friend with us be responsible for reporting any problems (white board in Feed room or call cell).  We promote an involved, family atmosphere.  Part of having a friend of this caliber, is creating an emotional bond with them.    If you are a new owner, you may board with me, and I will help you learn the routine of basic care and handling for no extra charge.

We do welcome Senior horses in our barn.  I have experience with horses with Lamenitis, Cushings, Founder History, allergy sensitivity and weight gain.  (Due to having horses with certain sensitivities,  You may give your treats, but please to not share unless you ask the owner or manager 1st)

We have 1 large pasture and 1 arena sized paddock, 1 60ft Round Pen, and on having run outs on most of the stalls.   Our large pasture is partially clear and partially wooded with a moderate sized pond that has a shallow end and a deep end for horses who enjoy riding in the water or swimming.  Turnout is limited on the large pasture since it is also the riding/ training area.

Our barn is a center aisle barn with powerful center aisle ceiling fans and fluorescent lighting for each stall.  We also run a cool misting system through all of the stalls for summer comfort.  We do not use central insecticides yet so fly sheets, and fly spray is recommended if your horse has allergies.

               Thank You and God Bless!

Training

Basic, Intermediate, Trail, and H/J Performance Training available,

Our Training methods are intended to be clearly understood by the horse and persuasive if they don't understand.  Allowing the horse to choose the level of growth per week.  They are treated like our own children in school and positive reinforcement methods are used.  The intention is to have a horse who looks forward to going for a ride, is willing to be obedient,  and have fun, while also increasing flexibility and responsiveness.  Young horses may receive 15 to 30 days of ground driving and training in order to make learning fun and safe for them.  (30 days is estimated to be the maximum depending on how handled the horse was prior to training, some may get as few as 10 days ground training)

Packages Start at $450 per month  plus Feed (Package includes Stall, Coastal Hay, and training)
* We recommend your own feed to make the stress of training easier on their Digestive system if the horse is not already a boarder.

Horses must show proof of Rabies, Tetanus, west Nile, encephalitis, Rhino, and flu vaccines and must have a current up to date coggins.  A veterinary dental check is highly recommended before any training begins to ensure a comfortable experience.

Leasing and Sales Services

I offer my horses to the public for riding leases.  Prices range from $150 to $350 per month depending on the horses riding level.  All horses stay here under my care,  Lease covers ride time M-Sat from 10-7p.  Rider is only responsible for any injuries incurred to the horse while riding.  I do have most tack supplied and you are welcome to use your own as long as it is comfortable for the horse.  I have organized trail rides to different parks a few times per month for an extra charge.  Most of my horses are intermediate trail and pleasure horses and only a comfortable match will be accepted.

SELLERS:
I also offer horses for sale, some on my property and I can advertise your horses for you too.  I charge a 10% sellers fee + advertising.  You can either keep the horse at your home or board them temporarily with me (space permitting).  I am not a horse trader!  Do not mistake this for that purpose.  If you have a bad horse, I will not sell it!  All Vices and nuances must be disclosed.  I enjoy finding the right horse for the right person.  not just in Discipline, but also in personality.

BUYERS:
If you are searching for your life long horse, i will gladly go with you to inspect a horse.  If you are local I will not charge.  If I have to travel around, please offer lunch.  If you want me to go look at horses for you before you go, I do charge a 10% finders fee for my hard work.

NOTE: Unfortunately, many people are offering their horses for fairly cheap due to the economic downturn. I do get calls from alot of people with horses available for next to nothing.  I will advertise these horses on my website only for free.  I do not promise to find a quick home for them because If I feel that a buyer does not have the ability to safely and comfortably care for a horse (feed, shelter, basic minimal routine care averages $250 a month on an annual basis, does not include emergency care) I will not recommend a horse for them.  The ability to purchase Tack is not something I am worried about in my horse care  judgment.
